I bet you’re asking, Why Mossy Meadows MHC (Mental Health Counseling)?
I’m sure you’re wondering, what does moss have to do with mental health? As you’re taking a walk sometime, notice that there are small patches of moss not only in nature fields and hikes, but spaces that are at times unexpected like between the cracks of sidewalks. What I have learned over my years of casually observing moss, is that it is resilient no matter the space that you find it. It could be a freezing winter or a humid and hot summer, yet moss will pull through the elements. It is a reminder to slow down and observe the small things in life. Along with that, moss can have many looks, presentations, and textures as we humans do. We should show care and love to the mosses of the world as we strive to with humanity. While you’re in therapy with me, I will encourage openness to observe the uniqueness of your individuality, while teaching resilience. I’d like to exude a vibe of walking next to a babbling brook with moss everywhere in sight, that would be my joyful space, and I look forward to helping you find yours!
